Groggy Monday

I slept terribly last night. So did Ping. I was crushed between Ping on my side and Sasha at my feet. Bill snored like he was trying to demolish the roof. It was awful. I am still trying to figure out why I have a king sized bed? I am getting less room in it than if I had a toddler bed!!!!! Ping tossed and turned all night long. I swear that she is going to her own bed as of the beginning of June. I love her like crazy and I love having her close to me, but she is like a spider with those legs of hers. They are up and over and crossed and backwards, etc. I always get her feet in my stomach and her hand on my face. That is before she flips and lays at the other end of the bed! Someone is moving from my bedroom and if it isn't her, it will be me. I will take up residence elsewhere. I want some room to stretch!!!!

So I drove Ping to school in a groggy state and then went off to swimming. After the bank and Walmart, I headed home for a shower and then back out to get Ping. Going into Walmart is a pain right now as they are remodeling. Nothing is where it usually is. It takes a 5 minute trip and makes it 30!

We had our sprinkler system turned on today. Bill came home early so I could head to CASA. He mowed the grass while I was out. Looks nice.

Well I guess I will try to do a few things and watch some TV before going to bed. Hope you are all well!

Saturday and Mother's Day

Yesterday was a busy day. Bill and Ping headed out in the morning for a hair cut and an oil change. They got home very late. We had a party to be to for 1:00 pm, but Bill didn't pull in until 1:30 pm. We raced to the party and was there in plenty of time to watch Sam open his birthday presents. He is now 5 years old! We had a nice time. We then headed into Worcester to a Dumpling party at WPI. The Chinese students wanted to host us one last time before the summer break. Only 10 families could go because of space issues. I realized when we got there that we were the only ones that went. I was really sad about that. They expected two families and the other family didn't even show up. So all these students got together, rented the Oasis House, cooked, set up video games and were there to talk about the past year and what we would like to do for the following year. We stayed for hours. The Ayi's loved Ping and the guys were just great. Ping was not shy at all. She went up to one male student and asked for a drink. So cute! These students are truly phenomenal.

Once we left there, we headed out to dinner. We hadn't had lunch and we didn't eat with the Dumpling student group. We were really starving. We then headed home so Ping could go to bed. She was exhausted! Bill went to bed when Ping did. I watched a little TV, hung out on here and then decided to grab my new People magazine and soak for an hour or so in the jacuzzi! I went to bed around 1:30 am. About an hour later the tones when off and Bill had to leave for the station. I woke up with him and of course Ping did as well. I don't know when I got back to sleep, but I heard Bill come in and unbuckle his jeans. Just then the tones went off again. So after some muffled groans, he headed back out and I fell asleep again. Needless to say, nobody slept through the night!

Today I got up at 9:30 am. We had reservations for brunch at a place called Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge. We had to be there for 10:30 am. I decided about two weeks ago to make the reservations. I thought it would be nice to do something for Mother's Day. So at 10:15 am, we dashed out of the house and headed to brunch. All I can say is the place was pretty. It's a country club. To be honest, I thought the food was awful. It was cold, it was often empty when I went up and it didn't even taste good. The water even tasted like garbage. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. It wasn't a cheap brunch. It was way overpriced and then to eat food that wasn't even good was upsetting. Ping had a grand time eating sausages. They did have carrot cake and I did have a piece. That was excellent. That was the only thing that was good. Well enough about that. I took a few photos anyway.

After brunch we went to the cemetery so that I could visit mom and dad. We then headed home. We changed and then I got back in the car and brought a hanging geranium over to the cemetery. I bought one for Ping, one for the house and one for Bill's mom. Then I felt awful that I didn't get one for the cemetery. We usually don't hang anything because we plant at the base of the stone. I was so upset that it was so bare, so I took one of the three I bought over to the cemetery. I couldn't stop crying. This is only the second Mother's Day without my mom. Yes, I am a mom. Yes, I love being a mom. However, Mother's Day is about honoring your mother, not yourself. That is how I felt. I did feel better after bringing the plant over. When I got back, Bill and I worked for a few hours on the garage. It's the worst project. I am going through the entire contents of our old house in Norwood. It's hard because I don't know what to do with the stuff. Do I sell, give it away or throw it? I have to look at everything and put it into piles. It's draining and it also makes me extremely sad. It's a reminder of a life lived by three happy people who loved each other. We got a chunk done, but have a lot more to do.

My neighbor called me to tell me that she heard that I had a visitor the other night. I told her I was unaware of the visiter. She said that my neighbor told her that I had a black bear in my yard the other night. We did know that there was a black bear around. In fact it ripped out the shepards hook with the bird seed and also ripped down another bird feeder. Bill kept saying that we had a black bear, but I have yet to see it. Bill hasn't seen it either. I am not sure if we will ever see it, but it would be cool to see from the inside of the house!!!!

Tonight after Bill fed Ping, she got a nice bath and headed off to bed. I passed out in the chair for a little while and then watched a movie. Now I am catching up here and heading off to bed myself.

I am going to post some pictures, but I am warning you, they are awful!

Mama Out!!!!!

Ping constantly has to sit behind me when I am on the computer. Drives me batty. She hangs on me. So I thought I would take a few photos while she was doing it.

She sticks her jaw in my shoulder, her toes and knees in my back. Great fun!

My eyes are burning

Well I got up today on time. When I woke up, I yelled for Ping. She came into my room fully dressed and holding a picture she drew. She said she made it for her Mommy. What a sweetie. I threw on my bathing suit, gave her the shoes she needed to match her dress and took off for her school. On the way out I grabbed Bill's Blackberry. He forgot it at home and I knew he would like to have it at work. So I dropped Ping off and then the Blackberry. I made it to swim on time too! When I got home, I showered and cleaned up a little. I had a lot of reading to do today. Ping colored while I read. She wanted to sit on my back while I was reading. That drove me nutty. She really wanted to be on my back because Neesha wanted to sit there and Ping was bound and determined to not let Neesha sit where she wanted to. All this time, Ping is hugging me and saying how much she loves me. She is a good manipulator at 3. It scares me, it really does.

After I finished reading, I closed my eyes for a few minutes. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep for 15 minutes. I knew it was 15 minutes because I had looked at the time before closing my eyes. Sure enough Ping was already running around the house!! We came downstairs and I made a few phone calls and made some reservations for excursions during our trip. Ping wanted to sit on the back of me. She had her toes in my back, her knees in my back and her head on my shoulder. Got she kills me when she does this. Then of course she always has to rip out my pony tail and comb my hair. God I love her, but I was not in the mood to be crawled on all day long. I could not distract her no matter what I tried. She was quite destructive today. She was yanking all the feathers out of my feather wreath. She was grabbing my books off the bookcase and letting the rest crash and burn. She was taking all my stuffed animals on my shelves and throwing them around the house. I just wanted to Super Glue her butt to the chair in front of a good video today!!!!

Bill came home and we went to Fashion Bug. I wanted him to come with me so that Ping wouldn't crawl under the stalls and take off through out the store as I was changing. Well I should have left hubby at home. She was doing what she wanted to anyway!!!!!! She is so hard to contain! She was overtired too, so that made it harder. She wanted to go eat, so we stopped at Applebees on the way home. Once we got in, we brought a sleeping Ping upstairs and got her into her nightgown. Then Bill passed out. I came downstairs and did my nails while watching a movie. I guess my table dancing days are over on Friday nights!!!! I am kidding, I never danced on tables!

Well as I said, my eyes are burning. The combination of it being late and all the reading I have done here and in my booklet has taken it's toll I guess. I had a bunch of CASA reading to do, but I got it done!

Hope you are well and enjoying the sunshine.

Another day that I don't win the Mother of the Year Award

We were exhausted this morning, so we stayed in bed. When Bill woke up at 5:00 am, it was with such a startle because he said he was running late. Ping got up with him and was walking around and chatting with him. By the time she got back into bed and went to sleep, it was time to get up. So I shut the alarm off and we just stayed in bed for awhile. It wasn't long before she was saying "Mom, you have to get up, I can't be late for school." I felt awful that she didn't get to school and I didn't get to swim. I paid for it in the end, trust me. She made a mess of the place, including opening up her detangle hair stuff and pouring it all over the floor!!!!!

We did get ready and headed out for a few local errands. When Daddy got home, we drove over to a clothing place because I wanted to look for some pants. Normally I would go alone, but Ping is so active, I envisioned her diving under the stall and taking off with me half dressed, so I asked Bill to come with me. It was pouring and thundering out and nobody wanted to go, but we did. Then we get there and the store is gone! Empty! For lease!!!!! Who knew. I was so disappointed. We were going to go to another store, but it was sort of late and I just said we should go home so Ping could go to bed on time. So now the two beauties are in bed. Not sure if Bill will return. He was going to make spaghetti, so I sort of hope he does.

Hope we see some sun tomorrow.

Another rainy day!

The sun did finally come out at 3:00 pm. I hear tomorrow we are going to get rain too. Ping just keeps singing the song "Rain rain go away....." I have told her that we want to the rain to go away, but we don't because we need the rain for the grass and flowers to grow. Talk about conflicting information!!!

Ping had a great day at school and I had a great time at swim. We came back here after school because I wanted to empty the dishwasher, clean the kitchen and put in my Tastefully Simple orders from last night before I had to leave at 3:00 pm for CASA. I dropped Ping off at Bill's work, so that he could watch Ping. Bill does most of the mask fit testing at his work. It's more important than ever due to the Swine flue, so he is busy working later than usual. Unfortunately, when I scheduled to train for CASA, this wasn't an issue. He would be home in time for me to head off to training. Swine flu had not surfaced yet as I booked this training time 2 months or so ago. So juggling my training and his work has been hard. I committed to CASA though, so I can't quit. I am enjoying it and have no desire to quit. One day Meri babysat for a few hours so Bill could do what he needed to do and I could do what I needed to do. Today I packed Ping with snacks and coloring books and dropped her off to Daddy. Not ideal, but sometimes you have to do it. She was thrilled. She loves going into the hospital with him. She could barely contain her excitement today! Only two training sessions to go. Wahoo!!!!!

Well off to bed, it's much later than I would like.

Rain, Rain Go Away....

Yesterday wasn't too bad, but today it rained non-stop.

Ping had school yesterday and I went swimming. We then stayed home because I had CASA training last night. Ayi Meri had to babysit because Bill had to work late. He also had to pick up his cap and gown for his upcoming graduation.

This morning I wasn't going to swim because I had a 9 am appt. I had to cancel it though. I woke up in the worst pain. My stomach was a mess. I want to say it was trapped gas. I have had this before. I had it after I had a Diet Coke a few months ago. I think it was the carbonation that did it to me. I didn't have anything last night that would bring this on, but apparantely something did. I thought if I did a little walking and stretching, I would be fine. It didn't get better. I had Ping get dressed and then we came downstairs. I told her to brush her teeth and comb her hair because I started sweating profusely and got very dizzy. I needed to sit down and get a grip. I did get her to school, but I was in a lot of pain and breathing shallow breaths because of the pain. I came home and cancelled my appoointment as there was no way I could get to it. I took some medication and crawled into bed for an hour. When I got up, I felt better. I went and got Ping and we did a couple of local errands. I had a ton to do, but even though I was feeling better, I wasn't at the top of my game. We came home and laid very low. I had a Tastefully Simple party at 7 pm and I couldn't very well be sick for it.

Bill came home and loaded up the truck for me and off I went. The party was fine. I was a little perturbed with one lady who wanted to chat all night and hold onto her order. Nobody has to order, but if you are going to, put your damn margarita down and place your order. You can chat for hours later. I want to get home!!!!! She did this twice to me. When I was going around and collecting stuff so that I wouldn't leave it behind, I said "Is this yours?" She said "Yes, and I am going to place an order." I said "Great, didn't want to take it from you if you were holding onto it." She said "I will eventually get to you when I finish talking." So I waited and waited and waited some more. I was just about to approach her and tell her I was leaving when I decided to go to the hostess to ask her if she thought everyone was all set. I then told her about the one woman. Thankfully, she told this woman that I was getting ready to head out. I didn't care about the damn order. To be honest, I thought it was rude and disrespectful. You know the consultant is there and only there for the orders. I am not there as a friend. Take care of business and then sit and enjoy yourself. I finally said to myself "I don't deserve to sit here one more moment waiting for her." After all that, she ordered two things. Not that I am not grateful, but I sat there for one full hour waiting on just her. All in all, the evening was fine. It just amazes me sometimes how people are at these parties. I have met some of the most wonderful people and then I have also met some of the most rude. I guess that is life!

I came home with a splitting headache. Bill had just come downstairs because I had called on the cell and told him I was heading home, the living room was a disaster, trash wasn't done and dinner wasn't even a mere thought. To say I was unhappy would be the understatement of the night. I strive every day to have this home looking clean, especially when Bill comes home. I just thought it was rude for him to leave the place a mess. It would have taken five minutes to clean it up! It was made worse when I asked him why there was a mess and he told me that he left it for me! Ping knows to clean up before bed, so I am not sure why that didn't happen. I just feel like I should be able to come home to a house that isn't a disaster. Maybe I wouldn't have cared as much if I hadn't felt awful all day and it didn't take me twice as long to clean everything up.

Well time to hit the hay. Bill had a call around 2:00 am last night and it blew me out of bed because it was so loud. I hope tonight goes better!

How did it get to be Sunday already?

God I didn't know I was so behind on blogging.

Friday we did our usual school and swim thing. We also headed to Walmart for a few supplies. Nothing really exciting to mention for that day.

Yesterday we went into Boston. I had my 2 year check up for my eyes. They are still excellent. I wasn't sure. I swear I can't read the small print on the TV anymore. I guess I just need a bigger TV! We then had lunch in town at the Hard Rock Cafe. Bill mowed the lawn when we got home, Ping played outside and I did some work inside. Ping and Daddy went to bed at 8:00 pm. Never saw the two of them again. I stayed up and watched a Hallmark movie "Living Out Loud." It was pretty good.

Today I stayed home all day. Bill and Ping went off to Walmart to do a little shopping. I stayed in and called the cruise line to see if they were stopping in Mexico. They are not! I was relieved. I had a feeling they were not going to as the CDC doesn't recommend it. In addition to calling them, I read up on all the shore excursions again, looked at some new ones for Cococay in the Bahamas, because that is where they are stopping in place of Mexico. I also did a lot of filing and organizing. The typical boring stuff. Do you think I got into the garage once? That garage will be the death of me:( I just want it done in the worst way. Bill is going to be very busy this week, so I am not sure when he will get around to doing some stuff here. Guess we will be playing it by ear.

Well that is all for now. Take care everyone!

Mama Out!!!!!

Daddy didn't go to bed, so Ping came downstairs.

Passed out and snoring.

Daddy filled up Ping's cup with milk so she could take it to bed. I hate this. He knows it's bad, but he does it anyway. I saw how much and I was yelling "that is way too much." Ping decided to put her hands over my mouth when I said it. She said "it's not too much Mama." Little hellion!!!!!! I started yelling help. Ping said "Mama, you don't need help." She is trying to smother me from speaking.
