This past week wasn't extremely busy, so I am not sure why I haven't been blogging daily. Oh well. Better now than not at all. I left off on Tuesday.
Tuesday night we had an appointment at the house with our financial planner. Nice guy, but I have to be really honest here, it takes all of me not to fall asleep. I don't care if you have $1.00 or 5 million dollars, it's flipping boring. I know that is an awful thing to say. It's not that I don't care. I do, but a lot of it still goes over my head. I feel like a fish laying in the desert when it comes to these discussions. The meeting takes hours too. Like I said, the gentleman is as nice as can be and will explain things to us over and over if I wanted him too, but I just want to stick my head in the sand.
So that was Tuesday night.
Wednesday was just an ordinary day. Ping went to school and we spent the rest of the day here.
Thursday was supposed to be a bit busier, but really didn't end up being so. I had a 1:00 pm appointment at the house. I am looking for ideas to change the house a little. At 1:45 pm, I called his office. He was there. He profusely apologized that he somehow didn't have me in his book. He knew we made the appointment because we had done so only two days before. We rescheduled for another day. Not a big deal. It happens. It worked out well. I was able to sit and close my eyes for a few minutes. I had dinner plans and had to leave at 6:00 pm, so I figured a few minutes of shut eye would be fantastic. At 6:00 pm, I headed out for dinner with some other women who have become moms through adoption. We had dinner at Moonstones in Chelmsford. There were only five of us and the group is larger than that, but it was a great small group. It's nice when the group is intimate because it allows you to get to know people better. At least that is how I feel. We had a great time.
Friday was a fairly easy day as well. Ping had school and then in the afternoon she had her dance class. Once home we put out our Easter decorations. Ping insisted on it. She is such a holiday lover.
Today we had a wonderful day. We went to a church in Wesboro that was having a free Easter Egg Hunt. We went last year and had a nice time. Last year was really crowded and it was the first year they ran it, so this year they had some of the kinks worked out. Last year they had one hunt. This year they had three and they also limited all children to 12 eggs. It was a lot of fun for the kids and there wasn't any inequality issues like there was the year before. Ping did a few crafts and jumped in the bouncy house. Daddy got her cotton candy and Ayi Meri got us all hot dogs, chips and drinks with our tickets. Every family gets free tickets. Ayi Meri, Uncle Joe, Lucas and Ryan went with us. We have not seen them in months, so it was great to be able to enjoy the day together. Ping and Lucas did the hunt and then drew on the parking lot with chalk. The also got to sit in a police truck and play a few games. Next year, Ryan will be able to enjoy it like the older kids did!
After the egg hunt, we drove over to Lancaster because Bill has to drop Ping off there next Wednesday. My friend Christine and her daughter Beka are babysitting Ping for the day. We then had lunch at Michael's right in Lancaster.
Since being home, I have done nothing but stuff on the computer and talk on the phone. The phone call was important. I have done some important stuff on the computer as well though. Trying to figure out the schedule for this summer for Ping.
Well better post a few photos and get going here. There is more to do!
