I could shoot myself 10 times over!!!!!

Tonight I was trying to clean up some email folders. I deleted a bunch of folders I needed. I am so upset with myself. I was literally saying "Step away from the computer Jill and let things be." UGH. I should have stuck to cleaning the house!

Ping asked me first thing this morning what our plans were. We have been going out daily, so she just assumed we had somewhere to go today. I told her we were staying home. She was sort of bummed out by that. Just as well as it literally poured for almost the entire day. Rain, drizzle and mist is okay. This was pouring! Who wants to be out in that?

I got a ton of phone calls made. I got a lot of work done at my desk also. I am really pleased because Ping and I cleaned out my armoire. It needed some major neatening. So I got a lot done and Ping was thrilled to help with some of it. We straightened out all of her hair bows. That literally took an hour!!!!!

Late this afternoon I asked Ping if I could have my ottoman so that I could sit comfortably and read a book for a little while. I figured I would read for 15 minutes until Bill got home. Well she was unwilling to part with my ottoman. She has a bean bag for TV watching. In the last few weeks though, she has taken my ottoman and pulled that up to the TV! So instead of insisting, I thought I would go to the family room to sit. Nope. Miss Sophie was sleeping comfortably on the couch. I get no respect!!!:) Needless to say, I begged Ping to sit with me so we could snuggle. She went for it. I do love snuggling with her. Bill came home shortly after and the two of them went out shopping.

I watched a show that was featuring some surgery I wanted to see and then I sat down at the computer to do a few things and that is when I started deleting. I am such a deleter!!!! When will I learn????

Well that is all for now. I hope you have a splendid weekend.

I can't stop yawning, but don't want to get behind here

Yesterday was supposed to be a very hot and humid day. Well it ended up being pretty hot, but there wasn't any sun. That was disappointing because I took Ping to Donna's house for a swim. It's an hour there and an hour back. The least I could ask for was some sun!!!!! Ping didn't care though. After Michael and Brad cooked some hamburgers and hot dogs, we ate and then hopped into the pool. Donna said it was too cold for her. I stayed in the pool for a good hour or so. I finally had to drag the prune toed child out of the pool. Donna promised her some ice cream, so I was able to get her to dry off and change since she had something else that was exciting. We got home around 5:00 pm or so. We didn't do much for the rest of the night. I did do a lot of research on the computer for some upcoming things I would like to do. I finally crawled into bed around 2:00 am.

Sleeping last night was not going to come easily. There was a fire call, so I had to listen to that entire scene unfold. Bill didn't have to go because he is on the ambulance, but we still have to listen to it. For some reason I was all twisted up in what I was wearing. Nothing was going right and I was really itchy with my awful bites. I am not sure if it was from the swimming, but my neck really hurt too. I did finally fall asleep after 3:00 am or so. I woke up at the crack of dawn though. I also woke up when Bill got ready for work. Ping got up with him. She has really been sleeping in lately, but not today. So sleeping this morning wasn't going to happen either. It was fine, we had plans so I needed to be up anyway.

I called Meri to cement our plans and jumped in the shower. I headed over to her house and we went to lunch. We then headed to Playtown Express which is off of Route 495, but when we got there, they told us they were closing in 15 minutes. During the summer they close at 3:00 pm. We had no idea. We felt bad because the kids were so excited. So we both jumped back into our respective cars and came back to West Boylston and went to our local playground. I think we were there for a good two or so hours. When I got home, I did a few things around the house and the got a call from my friend BobbiJo. We had plans to have dinner at Panera Bread, so I headed out the door. I have never eaten at Panera. It was good. We had a nice time chatting. We have a lot in common. I got home around 9:30 pm and the house was quiet. It was a mess, but it was quiet. Bill and Ping went to bed. Unfortunately, nobody put away any of the dishes, washed the table, put away the stuff on the counter or cleaned up the living room or family room. SHOCKER, right????? UGH. I don't understand why when I am home, we clean up before Ping goes to bed, but when I go out (which is rare) I need to come home to that? Bill left his TV on in the family room and my computer was blaring some god awful music he was listening too. So I went around and shut off all the extra noise and lights, put away the dishes, cleaned the kitchen and the living room. I will work on the family room tomorrow. I am too tired to do it now. Just so you know sweetie, I will get you for leaving the house a mess before bedtime. You know me, I am so evil. I mean, that is what you say I am, right? My dear hubby reads the blog pretty much daily. Since he is asleep and god knows when we will chat tomorrow, I figured I would let him know here that I was displeased. Aren't I the best wife? Guess I am canceling that new car you wanted. You know the one. I think it's a bright red Ferrari. I will go check the sales slip now. I have till 1:00 am to cancel the order for the car. Better run, I only have 15 minutes. Too bad you are sleeping and can't talk me out of it. Kisses:)

I am sunburned

I took Ping to a local playground today so that she could play with a new friend by the name of Ben. I met Ben's mom Susan through my CASA training. I had never been to this playground, so I met Susan at a local store and followed her there. It was really bright and sunny out. We were sitting in the sun, but then moved to a bench in the shade. Needless to say, the sun found us after awhile. We both walked away burned. Hopefully Ben is okay. Ping was fine. She is so lucky that she tans. Neither one of us remembered to bring sunscreen. However, Susan remembered to bring tons of juice boxes and sandwiches for the kids. Clearly a thinking mom! I brought a drink for Ping, one for me and then some goldfish and fruit snacks. Ping touched neither snack, but loved drinking the juice boxes and having a sandwich. Ben and Susan gave Ping an adorable pink necklace. She loves it. She kept saying on the way home that she loved it and it was her favorite necklace. Ping and I had a ton of fun. Guess next time we will pick a shadier playground or bring the sunscreen.

Ping spent the rest of the afternoon watching videos and I caught up with some business calls. At one point this afternoon, Ping looked at me and said "Mama, why are you so red?" What can I say?

Bill had the fire department tonight, so he was gone a few hours. He had training. He was home earlier than I expected. I was reading to Ping and I heard the door. I said to Ping "Listen baby, what is that?" She got this huge smile on her face and said "my Daddy." She tried to bolt, but I told her she couldn't leave. I was just playing with her. I knew he would immediately come upstairs. As usual, she demanded him to change into his pajamas. If she is in pjs, she wants him in pjs too. She then told him that he couldn't go to work tomorrow. She says that often. She said "I am not letting you go to work tomorrow." So I told her that she could call his boss tomorrow and let her know. She truly cracks me up.

I put my mom's car up for sale. I hope we get a couple of people interested. The car is fine, but it's tired. It's time to let it go before more things happen. I spent a considerable amount on it already making sure that it runs well.

Well that is all for now folks. Hope you are well.

Damn Mosquito!!!!!!

I woke up this morning with 5 or so bites under my right knee. I have a few above the knee and a few on my hands. I have been going crazy itching them today. Very irritating to say the least. The worst is having them on my leg because of my Lymphedema. It's hard for them to heal when I get them there. I wonder what I could use to make them stop itching. I should search online for some medication for that. They must have something.

Got up early today. I had someone coming to pick something up that I was Freecycling and thought that I would try to hand it to her without my daughter seeing from inside the house. Yeah, I got caught. Ping was all confused. I told her I would get something better than the stuff I was getting rid of. She was happy with that.

I took Ping to the playground for an hour today. She asked what color the playground. She is so funny. Last week it was a playground with blue equipment and we saw another one when we were driving with all red equipment, so now she equates playgrounds with color. Today it was red and beige. It was beautiful out. It was nice to be out for an hour or so. I just wish I had brought a book with me.

As usual, we had a few errands to do. She reminded me that she hates errands over and over again to the point where I was ready to scream. Who likes them????? I had to go to the bank, make a return, go to CVS and get town trash bags. Who else is gong to do the errands if not us. She doesn't get it.

I told Ping tonight that we may go to another playground tomorrow night. She said "What color is it?" She is a nut. Anyway, she put her hand to her forehead and says "Mama, I already told you, NO MORE PLAYGROUNDS!!!!!!" Bill and I just burst out laughing. She is so damn bossy. Not sure where she gets that:) She never said she didn't want to go to a playground, so I have no idea why she said that, but it was hysterical.

When I shake her vitamins in the morning, I always ask her what colors she wants. If she gets the color she asks for she says "I told you I wanted PURPLE!!!!!" Um, okay hon!

I was fooling around with her tonight while I was on the computer. She was sitting behind me and I am not sure what came up, but I was saying "you don't like your Mama." I said it a few times. She burst into tears and hugged me so hard. I told her I was playing with her. I told her that I was saying it because she doesn't like me, she loves me. I made her laugh after that and all was good. She is so sensitive. She gets worried I think if she thinks I don't believe she loves me. I told her that I have loved many people in my life. I love her Daddy and I loved my parents more than anything, but that she will forever be the greatest love of my life. She was so happy with that. It's not any more intense, it's just different. I may feel differently when she is 15!!!! Check back with me:)

Tonight I got aggravated with the TV and Ping says "Mama, are you mad at me? I said "no, not at all honey." So she says "You mad at the TV?" Yes I am baby. It was not working for me for a few minutes, but I got it to work. She wanted to see something and I was frustrated that it wouldn't switch like I wanted it too.

Earlier today someone wasn't paying attention at a light, so I waited, but then I finally gently beeped. I kept my mouth shut though. I was so pleased with myself. Of course Ping says "someone not driving right Mama?" She picks up on everything I do. It jerks me out of my aggravated mood. She is what everyone needs if they are aggravated. That is if she isn't the one doing the aggravating!

Well off to pick up some and go to bed. I swear I just sprung two more bites. UGH!!!!!

Weekend Warriors!!!!

Bill pulled the entire contents of "his" garage out into the driveway yesterday morning. After showering, I offered to help. To be honest, I wasn't that big of a help. Every time I work in the garage, I end up with a sinus infection. However, I am an awesome supervisor. Go ahead and ask Bill if you want:) Needless to say, this was an all day evening. Finally at the end of the night, we packed the truck up with trash and bottles and headed out to do some errands around 8:00 pm. We then had dinner. We were too tired to go home and cook. I am so glad to see the garage so neat and clean. Let's see how long it will stay that way. I tell Bill all the time if he maintained it, we wouldn't have to do it every summer. He doesn't listen. Oh well. I am grateful to have that project done. I put a lot of things on Freecycle. Almost everything that we didn't need is gone.

I want to concentrate on the shed, the upstairs workshop and the attic next, but it's going to be awhile before we tackle that. We need to do a little clean up around the outside too! It just never ends.

Today was an odd day. Stuff got done, but not nearly the amount of what I wanted to tackle. I got rid of some more stuff to Freecyclers. Also did some measuring for new shelves inside the house. Did some laundry and some other odds and ends. Nothing great though. So of irritated me that more didn't get done. Not much I can do about it now. The day is done!!!

Bill has already gone on two calls tonight. I hope from the time he gets home till the time he goes to work is quiet or it will be one hell of a night around here!!!

Prepare for a hot and soggy week my friends!!!

Mama Out!!!!

The day went by quick

Not sure whey the day seemed to go by so fast. I did sleep in this morning. That could have something to do with it.

After giving Ping lunch, I told her we had to do a few errands. I got a major meltdown on my hands from Ping. She hates errands. Truth be told, I am not a fan either. I had to go to the bank to change an account and I had to drop some books off at a book store. I told her if she was good, I would get her a parfait from McDonalds. She likes them, so it worked. She passed out in the car after the first errand. I was pretty happy about that. If she wasn't asleep, she would have been questioning me to death. "Where we going? Why are we going there? What books are they? Why don't you want them?" It never ends. I enjoyed the silence.

We dropped the books off, went to McDonalds and came home. I spent the rest of the night flitting from room to room cleaning up. I also watched a cute movie. I forgot the official name. It's older and it's about a "water horse." It was adorable. I then caught up on the news and my soap opera and I have been on the computer since. I am not sure what I am doing here. Just browsing I guess.

Well off to wake the hubby. Have a great weekend!

Nice day

I had five phone calls before 10:00 am today. Most of them amounted to nothing. I was in bed for every call. Ping slept in today. She was in bed till about nine. When I got up, I was yelling to her. She is usually in my bedroom. She came upstairs. I asked her what she was doing. She said she was helping Daddy do the laundry. What she did was take all the clothes out of the dryer and put them in the family room. How sweet is that?

I made us some sandwiches and packed the cooler for a 12:30 pm play date in Leominster. I met with BobbyJo, her daughter Brooke who is three, her niece and her nieces' friend. They are 15. We had lunch and then the girls ran around and had a blast. It was nice to be able to sit and chat. After the girls finished playing, we went to get ice cream and then Ping and I headed home. The sky looked like it was going to open up. It was so dark and windy out.

My sweetie told me today while I was pushing her swing that she missed Lily. I am amazed that she remembers her and keeps mentioning her. She said that Lily was with her grammie and grampie in heaven. She is referring to my parents. I love that she honors them even though she never met them. I tell her about them all the time.

Once Bill go home tonight, I went to a 6:00 pm meeting at UMASS to hear about various weight loss surgeries. It was informative.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring. I have a few things I should do.

Another late to bedtime post

It's okay, I had a long nap tonight.

I dragged Ping out for some errands today. She hates errands. She tells me this all the time. I can't help it, they need to be done. The post office, the cleaners, CVS for prescriptions, etc. don't deliver, so I have to go to them. She was pretty aggravated with me for most of the time. She also started to say that she was hungry. I don't know how that could be as I fed her pasta before we left the house. Ping asked if she could have what Daddy made for dinner last night. I jokingly said to her "Baby, don't you want Mama to whip up a special lunch for you?" I got "No Mama, you are not a cooker. You are a really, really good heater though." There we go again with her slamming my cooking skills. This child has me all figured out and it's very frustrating:)

When Daddy got home, we walked around the house looking at where the trees were cut down. I had someone here Monday cutting down a few dead trees from the horrible December storm we had. Ping and Daddy then went for a walk to the neighbors to drop something off for me. I kept wondering what was taking them so long, so I looked out the window. I didn't see them. I decided to sit in the chair. While there I passed out. They came back finally. I asked where they had been. The were at another neighbors making smores! I guess I should count my blessings that the house was quiet for a little while.

Well I am off to catch some sleep. Be well.

It poured for most of the day

Needless to say, I was thrilled that we stayed in today. I had lunch plans with Ayi Karen, but she has been exposed to the Swine Flu, so we decided to call off lunch together. Neither one of us wants to expose Ping to that.

I woke up to Ping clanging in the closet again. The minute I got up, she opened up the door to the closet and cleaned everything up. She put everything back in place. I was surprised that she did it with no prompting from me. She is so good about cleaning up when I say it's time, but this she really did on her own.

She got involved in watching a program shortly after we came downstairs, so I didn't feed her lunch right away. I was on an important phone call and she started yelling that she was hungry. So I gave her a snack to tie her over. I was off the phone shortly after. Ping comes over to me, hands me the snack and says "Mama, I want real food, not this snack." I wish I could install a video camera in the house for times like these. I was cracking up. She is so on to me. Those who know me best will get this. For those that don't know me that well, I don't cook. So I thought it was sort of funny that she wasn't going to let me get away with giving her a snack. I was totally going to feed her, just not at that moment.

After making a bunch of calls, I went upstairs to Ping's room and went through all of her underwear, socks, bathing suits, shorts, pajamas, pants, shirts and 2 piece sets. Ping immediately found me and wanted to help. So she helped me pick out some pjs that were too small for her. She said we could donate them. After I did that, I went though her toy box to see what was in there. I then did another little drawer. I was basically just neatening her room. Now I have to neaten all of her toys downstairs. They won't all fit where we have them, so I need to figure something out. She has a bunch of coloring books now that I got at the dollar store. I need to put them somewhere too. When we were picking out coloring books the other day, Ping said to me "We can't get too many Mama, other kids need coloring books too." What a sweetie. So thoughtful.

At the cookie place the other day, Ping yelled at the bathroom door "Daddy, wash your hands good, we are making cookies." Girl after my own heart.

So Bill made dinner tonight and said to Ping "Is Daddy a good cooker?" She said "Yes, but Mama isn't a good cooker." The little rat!

Anyway, Ping and Bill went to bed and Bill only returned 10 or so minutes ago. He was asleep for 3 or so hours. He only came down to do the trash.

I pulled a muscle in my back and it's killing me. So I am going to try to head to bed.

Happy Monday

I got up at 9:00 am today. Ping was already up and working up concoctions in my closet. The door was closed and I could hear hangers clanking and shoes clomping. I took a quick shower and got the two of us ready. I took Ping to have her pictures taken today at 11:00 am. I want to have a picture of Ping in her traditional Chinese dress taken at her birthday every year. I had a few other stops to make at the same plaza. By the time we headed home, it was close to 2:00 pm and we were both tired and hungry.

I didn't get any phone calls today from those who said they would call. All professional calls. That really irks me to no end. Under promise and over deliver people! Somewhere around 4:30 pm or so, I sat down with Ping to watch a little TV. I closed my eyes for a few minutes but then the phone woke me. Not a call that I was waiting on of course.

When Bill got home, we went up to Ping's room to do a few things, but Bill got interrupted. So while I waited on him, which should have only been minutes, I laid on my bed. I was out like a light. I woke up somewhere around 8:30 pm or so. Needless to say, I had a long nap. I was tired from the day, the weekend and all of last week. Guess it was catching up to me. Bill read Ping a story and then she fell asleep. I got up and came downstairs. I watched a little TV, made out some bills and now I am here catching up on the blog. Mind you it's 2:00 am. I know when I go to bed, I am going to stare at the walls because I had that nap. I am going to go attempt to sleep anyway.

Take care.

Chinese massage and Birthday gifts

Weekend of birthday parties

Yesterday was Ava's birthday party. She is the daughter of Audra and Terry. We got up, went to the bank and went to the birthday party in Sutton. It was a lot of fun. Ping had a blast. There were 10 or so girls there. They all had a great time in the nice weather.

After the birthday party, we went to Target to return everything we had bought for the baby. I could not take looking at any of it. I wanted it out of the house as soon as possible. We then dropped some stuff off at Meri and Joe's. We had two more errands to do before we could head home.

Bill mowed the grass and I napped for a little while. I am wiped out from the week. Of course I stayed up super late since I napped.

Today I got up at 7:45 am. Little early for me on a Sunday. Ping was in bible school all week and they asked that we bring the children to church today so they could perform a few songs and then they could pick up the projects they made during the week. It was a tight squeeze since we had Ping's birthday party today, but we went. We had to be there at 9:30 am. I felt bad, but we rushed out of there. We went to the supermarket to pick up Ping's cake and some ice and then headed to Create a Cookie Clubhouse for her party. We got there really early, but that was okay. I wanted to be there so I could set up. It was a small party. Just a few very close friends. Had about 20-25 people. We made cookies, ate some pizza and cake and then we opened up presents. Ping got some awesome stuff. She was thrilled.

After the party, Anita and Donna came back to the house for a little while. I was tempted to nap for a few minutes after they left, but I plugged on and actually got a bunch of stuff done. Tonight I watched a bit of TV and now here I am.

I am going to go and add a few photos now. Hope you are well.
