Today was a nice day

It didn't start off great because I didn't pull out a skirt for Ping! She wakes up asking for a skirt. However, it was raining and I knew we had a play date this afternoon. So I told her to get dressed and to quit her whining and crying. I went into the bathroom and shut the door. I took a shower and came out humming. I then turned on the radio. I went into the bedroom and she is still not dressed. She is still whining. So I told her that the outfit in front of her was what she was wearing. It was not negotiable. I told her that we would be late for school. In addition, if she continued, she would be losing some privileges like the TV and her building blocks. So I went into the closet to get dressed. Moments later, she was dressed! It is such a battle every morning with her. I don't mind it if she wears skirts or dresses, but occasionally, she has to wear pants!

After dropping Ping off at school, I did the typical errands of post office, bank and CVS. I then had physical therapy at 9. They give me a nice foot message. A little painful, but for the most party it is helpful. Unfortunately, I am not sure if I am making progress as my feet still hurt.

After picking the little one up at school we came home for a short time to do a few things and then headed to our friend Christine's home! She has 4 great kids and Ping loves to play with them. Two of the kids are 3 and 5, so they are great ages for her. We had lunch and then since it was so beautiful out we decided to sit outside. The kids jumped in the trampoline, played in the sandbox and went down the slide. The trampoline was given to them from me. I picked it up from a Freecycler. After not putting it together for weeks, I figured that I would get rid of it. I wanted it for Ping. She would have loved it. However, they have 4 children and they have gotten so much fun and use out of it. So I am glad we gave it to them. They are a great family and we love spending time with them.

Bill was home tonight so Ping got a bath. YAY! He also put a few things away for me which was a big help. I love it when he is home. It's nice for Ping because she truly misses him when she doesn't see him all day and night. I love having him home for the additional help.

You know, I am new to this Facebook thing. People love it. I am still trying to figure it out. Some stuff irks me though. Tonight I got a friend request. This person is not a friend. I know of her. I have spoken to her many times but that is because she is a friend of my friend. We have a mutual acquaintance. So why does she want to add me? Is the game to add as many people as you possibly can so you can look popular? Am I missing something? Why do people want my friends on their Facebook? They are my friends. Now mind you, I am not saying that anyone has my friends on their Facebook. I haven't looked around at other peoples friends. However, I can see it happening. It's like everyone is stealing everyone else's contacts/friends. Listen, I love having friends, but I don't need fake buddies on my Facebook. So I am debating about accepting this request. Not that it matters as it's just another person on my profile, but I feel like if I am going to have someone there for others to see, they need to be people I am friends or family with.

Well that is all for now. I hope you are well everyone.

Mama Out!

Oh, Jill, I hear you about Facebook. I think I am just too old to understand these social networking sites. I'm hearing from people that I don't have a clue as to who they are, but apparently they know me! Too strange!
